New Media Studio Moves to ENGR 023

Temporary relocation due to Sherman Hall renovation

Over the summer, DoIT's New Media Studio relocated from Sherman 204 to Engineering 023, just three doors down from DoIT's AV Services.

"I've already seen more DoIT colleagues in the past few months than I've seen since I started working for DoIT," jokes Dustin Roddy, manager of the Studio since 2019, who also works with video producer Dan Thompson and general assistant Matt Baker.

The temporary, 18-month move is due to the Sherman Hall renovation, which will include renovated space for the Studio, and consolidation on the second floor. No more climbing up the spiral staircase from the main two-story Studio floor (which will remain) to staff offices on the third floor.

In addition to relocating, this year the Studio is also supporting Athletics to expand its slate of ESPN live broadcasts from 30+ men's and women's home basketball games to an additional 25+ games including all men's and women's soccer and lacrosse, and volleyball. The Studio will also continue its video production support for campus events such as Commencement, HR service awards, key lectures and dissemination support for grants and contracts.
