The Studio serves as a collaborative environment, bringing together faculty from various disciplines to work on technology-intensive projects. The Studio conducts ongoing research and evaluation of new media technologies. Many of our projects push the edge of current technologies, combining them in new and interesting ways while looking for solutions that can be scaled to meet broader instructional needs. The Studio funds several Research Assistant positions annually. These students bring their specialized skills to bear on client projects.
Through participation in the NSF Knowledge Network, UMBC has the means of disseminating video programming internationally via cable, webcast and Roku.
